ENRICHMENT DAYS
We know that there are plenty of important types of learning that do not fit nicely into units, themes, or specific content areas. However, that does not mean that children should not get to experience or learn from them.
Our "Fun Fridays" are designed to be full of enriching experiences for students to gain real world experiences and perspectives, without the academic demands of our core day instruction. We intend to put a heavy focus on experiencing and collaborating with our local community on these days.
CREATIVE ARTS & LIFE SKILLS
Through collaboration with local creatives and experts, students will get to experience a variety of creative arts and life skills.
FIELD TRIPS
Some things are best experienced in person. Students will have the opportunity to visit and learn about local places and history. While many trips will be planned as extensions of core day learning, we know that others will benefit from the authentic learning experiences that field trips provide.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP & LOCAL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS
Understanding finance and economics is not something that students should have to wait until adolescence to get the opportunity to learn about and experience. Students will have age appropriate opportunities to get to learn about finances, economics, and entrepreneurship through intentionally planned projects and partnerships with local business leaders.
